The Wisag Group lost a license for ground handling services at Frankfurt Airport in August. The Frankfurt family company received this handling license, which is awarded every seven years according to EU rules, in 2018. This time, Swissport International AG, which operates at around 285 airports in more than 40 countries around the world, was the winner of the award from the Hessian Ministry of Economic Affairs organized tender. This involves apron services such as loading and unloading and maneuvering aircraft with tugs.
