The change to electromobility continues to gain momentum internationally – albeit at very different paces. Last year, more than 6.7 million purely electric cars were newly registered in China, a fifth more than the year before. Sales in Great Britain grew just as strongly, while the US market achieved moderate growth of 7 percent. Germany, on the other hand, is completely different: After a decline of 27 percent, Germany fell back to second place in Europe, according to an analysis by PWC Autofacts for the digital economy briefing.
