Every beginning is difficult. This applies particularly to autonomous cars, the difficulties are extremely large. When Alex Kendall tested his Renault Twizy for the first time seven years ago – equipped with a software program with artificial intelligence (AI) – on a dirt road, the little car was dangerous. Sometimes it controled too far to the left, then to the right. Like a toddler who learns to run. Or like a drunk. Kendall had to brake and counteract every few meters. The videos of these first trips are really strange.
