On the stock exchanges there is the concept of dividend aristocrats. This has nothing to do with companies guided by nobles. It uses the term in its original meaning as a “best” or “most powerful” company. In order to belong to the group, the dividend must have been increased at least 25 years in a row as ID of a stable, profitable business model. Pension funds or foundations that rely on regular and calculable inflows love such reliable payments.
