The EU had tightened the exhaust gas limit values ​​and threatened automobile manufacturers with horrendous punishments if they did not comply with them. In contrast, more and more resistance from big names such as Mercedes CEO Ola Källenius (55) or Renault boss Luca de Meo (57) formed. They warned the EU of dramatic consequences, such as the elimination of countless jobs.

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen (69) has now heard the calls to the industry. Penalties are exposed to 2027.
