The warnings for Afghanistan are urgent. The decision of the American President Donald Trump to suspend the development aid in his country could have catastrophic consequences for the Central Asian country. According to the United Nations, 22 million people rely on humanitarian aid, almost half of the Afghan population. The UN World Food program warned that the suspension of American aid could drive even more people in acute hunger. The falling means would already have led to the fact that only half of the affected people can be supplied with food with food this winter.
