German FAZ: The Great Kahlschlag008974

At the age of 30, Katrin Benckendorff-Wichmann wanted to get out of the cafes’ kitchens in which she had worked. She wanted to do something completely new again. “Actually, I wanted to start my own business, but I lacked the courage,” she says today. Then she spoke to her father -in -law, a doctor. He gave her the tip to try it as a nurse in the operating room. An internship later started with the training, her husband caught the gaps in family income. “All of them were younger in my class. Most of them just came from school. And I already had two children. But that was good, because I knew exactly what I wanted, and during the training I was also a bit on the navel of the time, the youth.” Today she is satisfied: even with tax class V, she deserves “okay and fair”.
