Wiesbaden. The inflation rate in Hesse has increased again. In March, consumer prices were expected to be 2.4 percent above the level of the previous year, as the State Statistical Office in Wiesbaden announced. The prices for insurance companies for traffic climbed by 20.1 percent, laminated tickets by 9.8 percent and the maintenance and repair of vehicles by 4.9 percent. While package tours were 3.2 percent more expensive than in March 2024, flight tickets were 8.0 percent cheaper, and the services of social institutions (plus 9.3 percent) and in restaurants (plus 3.5 percent) and for overnight stays (plus 4.1 percent) were also more expensive.
