German FAZ: Limburg wants to have freestyle cats neutered 009468

Frankfurt. In the Frankfurt trial against the alleged torture doctor Alaa M. from Syria, the judgment is to be announced on Monday. The Federal Prosecutor’s Office calls for a lifelong detention, preventive detention and a ban on profession due to crimes against humanity and war crimes. She charged a total of two deaths and eight cases of severe torture to the man in 2011 and 2012 in the Syrian city of Homs. His lawyers demanded an acquittal for the accusation of the killings. Alaa M. himself described himself as not guilty, but as a victim of a complotting. He has lived in Germany for ten years and had worked as an orthopedic surgeon in several clinics. The fact that the doctor has to answer for a German court for crimes in his home country is also due to the so -called world law principle in international criminal law. It allows possible war crimes of foreigners in other countries to be pursued in this country too. (dpa.)
