Fulda. Around four months after finding a dead infant in a freezer in Heringen in East Hesse, the public prosecutor raised charges against the mother for suspected manslaughter. The 35 -year -old woman is in urgent suspicion of having killed the baby against her head immediately after birth. The public prosecutor announced why she did this. The crime had “occurred at a time that cannot be determined in more detail between January 2022 and April 2024” in the woman’s apartment in Bad Hersfeld or after moving in the house in Heringen. The newborn girl was “fully mature and viable”. Due to the stroke probably carried out with a “flat object”, the infant suffered a traumatic brain trauma with bone fractures and brain hemorrhage.
