Offenbach. At up to 40 degrees, the highlight of the heat wave in Hessen is expected on Wednesday. The German Weather Service in Offenbach expects the top temperatures in the south of the country. However, according to the meteorologists, 36 to 39 degrees are also around it. In the late afternoon and evening, there could be strong heating weather with heavy rain above the mountains, even storm gusts with hail could not be ruled out. Sharms are even occasionally possible. Most of the time, however, it should remain free of precipitation. According to the DWD, the night only brings the night: the temperatures therefore fall up to 22 to 17 degrees. Local there are showers and sometimes strong thunderstorms. (dpa.)
