German FAZ: Galactic ambitions009596

Germany has had a ministry for space travel and none for university education since April. The latter has remained in the Ministry of Research, but played such a little role in the government’s declaration of the new Minister Dorothee Bär that some worried that the minister had lost ground contact on her space mission. She raved all the more from space travel, which moved to the ministry at the instigation of the Bavarian Prime Minister Söder. According to its plans, Bär is supposed to make Germany a leading European space nation, which should also pay off for its Bavarian homeland, a hotspot of the German space travel with established companies, dynamic start-ups and the largest German space faculty at the TU Munich.
