Huch, what kind of small car is that? BMW Classic provided us with a threesome of the first generation for one day. It is only 4.35 meters long, has two doors and is a classic limousine with a step back like its predecessor, the famous 02 series. It not only looks small because it is 36 centimeters shorter than the current seventh generation, but above all because it builds a total of 22 centimeters of narrower with a width of 1.61 meters. In the summer 50 years ago, the series called E21 made its debut, produced from July in Munich’s main plant and later in Dingolfing, a big audience premiere was at the Frankfurt IAA in September.
