Gelsenkirchen (dpa / lnw) – The automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen plans to close its location in Gelsenkirchen at the end of the year. Affected are around 500 employees, which jobs should be offered in the Group, a spokesman reported on Wednesday. Previously, the employees at the plant had been informed about the plans. According to a spokesman, ZF Friedrichshafen has about 20 locations nationwide, the closest to Gelsenkirchen is Witten, where about 900 ZF employees produce large gearboxes.
