Small small cars have a hard time. Due to many new technical regulations, production costs are rising and profits are difficult to realize. A number of manufacturers such as VW and Opel no longer serve the A segment. Instead of 180,000 units like in 2021, less than 80,000 were sold in Germany last year. Toyota doesn’t dispute this, the almost 3.80 meter short Aygo, which has sold more than 1.4 million times since 2005, is being launched again as the Aygo X Hybrid and attracts with an introductory price of 19,900 euros, instead of the regular 21,990 euros.
