New routes and new seats are often cause for celebration for airlines. Most recently, the Emirates company toasted in this country – but only for new seats. The Dubai airline has so far been denied new routes. “The new use of Boeing 777 aircraft with modernized facilities and four seat classes marks a milestone for the German market, which plays a strategically important role in our route network,” says Emirates’ Germany representative, Volker Greiner, at Frankfurt Airport. “We have thus introduced our new Premium Economy Class in Germany – with seats ‘made in Germany’.” These were developed with the Swabian manufacturer Recaro.
