Data shows that used cars sell six days faster in Scotland than the nationwide average.
CarGurus have shown that cars spend just 25 days on dealer forecourts in Scotland compared with to the average of 31 days across the UK.
In comparison, Wales was the slowest selling region, averaging 35 days.
In Scotland, the Vauxhall Insignia and Mercedes A-Class were the fastest-selling models, and hatchbacks spent an average of 17 days on Scottish forecourts before being sold.
Chris Knapman, editor at CarGurus, said: “When shopping for a car in Scotland, buyers should be aware that cars are selling more quickly than average for the UK, particularly the most popular used models.
“Doing research ahead of a visit to the forecourt should allow the consumer to make an informed decision more readily.
