Sytner Group is to open a £6.5m flagship Mercedes-Benz showroom and workshop at Kingmoor Park in Carlisle.
Replacing a previous facility in Rosehill Industrial Estate, the dealership includes an 18-bay workshop and an approved used display area for 90 cars.
John Buchan, group project manager at Sytner Group, said: “We are delighted with our new state-of-the art facility in Carlisle that represents the first of the Mercedes Benz new corporate Identity in the UK.”
Barry Crooks, head of business at Mercedes-Benz of Carlisle, said: The new site is a world apart from our previous home which we had completely outgrown and is bigger and better in absolutely every respect.”
Derek Billows, contracts manager at Caddick Construction, which built the dealership, said: “The showroom looks fantastic in such a notable location.
“We have worked closely with Sytner to ensure the highest quality environment, using our wealth of expertise in delivering automotive developments across the north of England.”
Caddick has recently delivered showrooms for The Car People, in Warrington, Jaguar Land Rover in Kendal and Vertu Motors’ Farnell Jaguar Land Rover in Leeds.
It is currently constructing the £41m Jaguar Land Rover, Mini and BMW showrooms at the Trafford City Development as well as JCT Porsche in Newcastle.
