The Renault Captur, Peugeot 2008 and Opel / Vauxhall Corsa models, all manufactured in plants installed in Spain, were among the ten best-selling cars on the European market last July, according to data from Jato Dynamics collected by Europa Press .
The Renault Captur, which is manufactured in Valladolid, was the best-selling ‘made in Spain’ model in Europe in the seventh month of the year, occupying the fifth overall position, registering a registration volume of 20,361 units.
The Peugeot 2008, for its part, which is assembled in Vigo, was the sixth most popular in Europe in July, with a total volume of 20,006 units, while the Zaragoza Vauxhall / Opel Corsa occupied the seventh place, with 19,902 units marketed in the last month.
The best-selling car in Europe in July was the Volkswagen Golf, with 31,169 units, ahead of the Renault Clio, with 25,054 units, the Skoda Octavia, with 22,569 units, and the Peugeot 208, with 20,520 units.
ALTERNATIVE MARKET
On the other hand, the Toyota C-HR led the European market for hybrid and ‘mild hybrid’ models last month, with 10,571 units, ahead of its ‘brother’ the Toyota Corolla (10,345 units), the Ford Puma (7,681 units ), and also Toyota, RAV4 (7,533 units) and Yaris (6,992 units).
As for the plug-in hybrids, the European market was led by the Ford Kuga, with 6,366 units; for the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, with 3,454 units; for the Volvo XC40, with 3,453 units; for the BMW 3 Series (2,663 units), and for the Mitsubishi Outlander (2,583 units).
The Renault ZOE was the best-selling electric car in Europe in July, with 9,280 registered units, ranking ahead of the Hyundai Kona, with 4,405 units; the Volkswagen Golf, with 4,094 units; the Kia Niro, with 3,332 units, and the Peugeot 208, with 2,559 units.
