MADRID, Nov. 13 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The high-end car company has inaugurated at its Porsche Madrid North Center, together with its headquarters in the capital, an electric vehicle charging station, with a total of 2,100 kilowatts (kW) distributed in six turbochargers of 350 kW each .
Together with the general director of Porsche Ibérica, Tomás Villén, the Madrid City Council was present at the inauguration, represented by the Councilor for the Environment and Mobility, Borja Carabante; the executive vice president of Anfac, José López-Tafall, and the global director of Smart Mobility at Iberdrola, Raquel Blanco.
The company plans to install more 350 kW turbochargers throughout its centers in Spain and Portugal in the coming months, where it already has charging stations of different powers.
The company’s interest in renewable automobiles is in line with the launch of its first electric model, the Porsche Taycan, at the end of 2019. The vehicle has a powerful 800-volt charging system (twice as many as several of its competitors) that allows you to charge 80% of your battery in about 20 minutes.
The general director of Porsche Ibérica has ensured that his interest in the electricity sector will continue over time since, as he has stated, the company works so that “that electrical future, which no one is discussing, is increasingly present”.
