Human Resources Director and Labor Director Sabine Kohleisen (58) can be happy. Mercedes-Benz is Germany’s most sought-after employer. More than any other company, the Stuttgart car manufacturer fascinates prospective economists and engineers alike. As in the previous year, it took the top spot in the “Best Employers” ranking for 2022. “The top placement is the result of a very consistent recruiting strategy,” says Robindro Ullah, Managing Director of the Berlin consulting firm Trendence. “The positioning of the group as a premium brand also bears fruit in terms of employer image.”
Trendence compiles the annual ranking as a “graduate barometer” for manager magazin. Almost 7,700 business and engineering students at 44 German universities who are about to take their exams answered the question about their dream employer this time.
