Today Juniper Research has named moovel Group, the leading provider of public transit mobile ticketing and fare validation solutions as a market leading disruptor in their latest report, Mobile & Online Ticketing: Transport, Events & NFC 2017-2022. Juniper’s report outlines moovel’s strong position in the industry, predicting that the company will grow significantly over the next twelve months by developing strategic partnerships with a wide range of mobility service providers. In 2017, 22.3 million transactions have been made via moovel apps. The moovel Group has 3.7 million users in the United States and Europe.
As digital ticketing continues to evolve alongside trends such as intelligent transport networks and near field communication (NFC) technology, Juniper expects over 40 billion tickets to be bought via mobile and online means by the end of 2022.
