The French like to reminisce. That’s why Renault’s new car model has the same auspicious name as the single-seat propeller plane Caudron Rafale, which the manufacturer developed in the first half of the 20th century – a homage to aviation history. The design of the down-to-earth SUV coupĂ© is based on the new design language of chief designer Gilles Vidal. He gave the flagship a striking silhouette with a long hood and sporty roofline. The interplay of edges and curves looks successful, 20-inch wheels and increased ground clearance do the rest.
