In Germany, board members earn on average between 38 and 52 times their employees, depending on share price developments. In 2022 it was an average of 5.1 million euros per year. The income gap is therefore becoming ever wider. While the difference between the earnings of a worker and a top manager was 21 times in 1965, in the USA it increased to 344 times in 2022.
