The Chinese manufacturer Svolt is stopping the construction of a battery factory in Brandenburg. Mercedes and the European-American car company Stellantis are halting their project in Kaiserslautern, which they wanted to develop together with the energy company Totalenergies from France. The construction of a plant in Termoli, Italy, is uncertain. The sports car manufacturer Porsche is also having a hard time with the decision to set up a large factory for high-performance cells.
