The electric car is in crisis, and trucks with electric drives currently only make up two percent of all new registrations in Europe. Nevertheless, practically all manufacturers are working on the electric future, also driven by the European Union. This calls for CO2 emissions from heavy commercial vehicles to be reduced by 45 percent by 2030 and even by 90 percent by 2040.
