German FAZ: Trippled 007372

As the saying goes, double stitching is better, and so new cars almost always use two types of sensors to monitor the traffic in front. Cameras are supposed to detect road boundaries, people and traffic signs, and radar sensors measure the distance and relative speed. Theoretically, the car could drive autonomously if it weren’t for all sorts of injustice in the world. Sun shining from the front or absolute darkness causes cameras to go blind, while heavy rain or snowfall leads to undesirable reflection of the radar waves.
