The Mercedes star is one of the most famous trademarks in the world and is more than 100 years old. It was still installed at the car company’s former headquarters in Stuttgart-Möhringen, even after the building had long since ceased to be used by the company. This is now finally over. On Monday, a truck crane came to remove the star, which weighs around three tons and has a diameter of 6.5 meters, from the platform on the roof. A first dismantling date last year failed.
