The German auto industry is in a deep crisis. At first it was primarily the suppliers who were hit, but now the engineering service providers are also increasingly suffering from the downturn. Bertrandt AG is feeling the effects particularly hard: the development service provider’s poor business at Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, among other things, is one reason why between 800 and 1,200 jobs are to be cut in Germany.
