Schtuttgart – that sounds like “We can do everything except High German”. Well, the new construction of the main train station in the Baden-Württemberg state capital has now become a billion-dollar symbol of architectural hubris and planning incompetence. Before the access routes from north and south, west and east end in the gutted terminal station, the traveler has at least seen in passing what the heart of this city is: Zuffenhausen, that is Porsche, Feuerbach sounds like Bosch, Daimler is a synonym for Untertürkheim . But does the city, which can barely run because of industrial power, also have a soul?
