German Manager Magazin: Daimler Truck: Bundeswehr ordered hundreds of Mercedes-Benz Arocs004257

Daimler Truck has received a major order from the Bundeswehr. Their mobility service provider BWFuhrpark Service had ordered an average three-digit number of Mercedes-Benz Arocs vehicles, the commercial vehicle manufacturer said on Wednesday in Leinfelden-Echterdingen.

An order value was not mentioned. The delivery of all vehicles is planned by the end of May 2026. According to the current procurement strategy of the German federal government, the trucks should contribute to the improvement of military transport capacities for state and alliance defense, it continued.

According to Daimler Truck, the AROCS model is designed for missions away from asphalt roads, including for logistics operations in the military area. The vehicles ordered are the ARocs 6×6, a three-axis logistics truck with all-wheel drive and a payload of up to ten tons. The vehicles, which are also suitable for operations in swamp areas or for the passage of rivers, also have a limited special military equipment such as a stain star painting.

Daimler Truck is one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers with a total of around 100,000 employees.
