Volkswagen boss Oliver Blume had chosen an almost symbolic place for the board meeting last week. VW’s top leadership team meets outside the Wolfsburg headquarters in order to better get to know other locations in the global factory network of the car company. And this time the board members met in Chattanooga, Tennessee. VW has had a work there for about a decade, the United States still applies in management as a hope market, despite all of trouble about Trump’s protectionism, the current customs disputes and ongoing trading discussions.
