Wiesbaden. People from a total of 195 different countries live in Hesse. This was announced by the Hessian Statistical State Office (HSL) on the occasion of the World Population Day on July 11th. According to this, a total of 1.35 million foreigners in Hesse were counted in 2024. After 56.7 percent more than ten years ago. According to the statistics, Turkish citizens with 166,900 people represent the largest group, followed by citizens of Ukraine (104,900 people).
