The village of Gstaig north of Salzburg is the epitome of Upper Austrian natural idyll. A few well -groomed courtyards spread around the pilgrimage church of St. Mary from the good advice. All around are fields and a small but fine restaurant in the middle. The gourmet temple belongs to Hans Michel Piëch. The heavy heir from the Porsche-Piëch dynasty is popular in the area, and in addition to the main participation at the Familyholding Porsche SE, it provides a whole range of private investments across Austria. When the restaurant recently had to close in the Gstaig, a successor solution for the tenant was quickly at hand. A young, ambitious pair of restaurateurs has entered, and the Forthuber restaurant again serves the usual bandwidth, from affordable lunch to the six-course menu in the evening at the level of award-winning top chefs.
