German Manager Magazin: Airbus, Schaeffler, Vitesco, ZF Friedrichshafen – The newsletter “Manage: Mobility” 004349

Dear reader, dear reader,

Before we take a newsletter break in the next two weeks, we will devote ourselves to the dark everyday life. Through the bank, manufacturers and suppliers present sobering half -year numbers, one forecast after the other is tipped over. Now there are also exports to the USA 15 percent inch on top, Premium brands also meet a new one Luxury tax in China. How long does it go on, or is there any hope that exit strategies will soon help out the crisis?

You can ask the Uwe Hochschurtz (62) next Monday. He was a European Coo of Stellantis, he was the Opel boss and top manager at Renault, Ford and Volkswagen and witnessed many dangerous cars. On August 4th at 6 p.m., the manager is a guest in our talk “Manage: Mobility Live”. Here you can register as a subscriber or subscriber.

Aircraft manufacturer Boeing has been stumbling from one breakdown straight to the next. The best prerequisites for Airbus, the US rival once and for all. In fact, Airbus delivered more than twice as many commercial aircraft last year. Sounds good, but should actually be much better. On closer inspection, problems are also revealed by Airbus: the ride of production stalls, the armaments and space division disappointed. At the beginning of the year, CEO Guillaume Faury (57) also cleared his prestige project with the hydrogen jet. “Fasting Your Seatbelt”, my colleague Michael Machatschke takes her on a sightseeing flight and shows, What goes wrong with Airbus

Deepdrive: again more powerful

The sale of electric cars attracts again globally. According to a PWC analysis, sales rose in the first half of the year 37 percent to more than 5.9 million units. 3.7 million new Stromer alone came onto the streets in China. German carmakers grew up in Europe, but the thrust in China rushed over them completely: there the electric sales of the local corporations broke up by 32 percent compared to the first half of 2024.

Number of week: 8.5

With all the number of numbers, some successful European carmakers still exist. ŠKODA made a formidable first half of the year, the team led by CEO Klaus Zellmer (57) made a margin of 8.5 percent with almost 1.3 billion euros. No other car brand earned more in the group.

The United States is upper electronic effects among the large car markets. Under President Donald Trump (79), tax funding is now also history. Mercedes gets to feel bitter. Their already not very popular EQ models are currently in the North American dealer farms that are apparently so flat that the car manufacturer does not accept any new electrical orders in the states for the time being. One could show: there seems to be hardly any anyway. Mercedes boss Ola Källenius is in perseverance: “We do not believe that the demand for electric cars comes completely.” Very electrifying prospects.

We hear ourselves after our break in mid -August.

Your Christoph Seyerlein
