BMW shows the new class, the beginning of an era, as the company in Münchner means modesty. Let’s start with the assistants responsible for attention and keeping the trail. The software developers have thought of it in IX3, the first but by no means the only model of the new class, that means: calibrated. That is probably what is to be understood by the joy of driving and the proof that further thinking pays off. We are certain that the customers will be approved by this. As a vehicle around it, it receives an SUV that, according to the many announcements, has been expected more progressive during the past three years. But the electrically powered IX3 aims like its combustion motor -fired counterpart X3 in the middle of society, especially in the middle of the company car company. There he, that is not a daring forecast, will win some of the terrain. Catapult into the future of the new class, the Bavarian engine works, similar to the historical model in the early 1960s, should catapult into the future. Practically everything is redesigned. There will also be a limousine at the moment, i.e. a 3 series that may be more sensitive. Anyway, the new design language should radiate on all model series. The Panoramic Vision called the display area is a revolution. Manufacturer’s first car to touch and drive is now this IX3. Our first exit together shows a skilful mix of handling, performance and comfort. The 2.3 tons of empty weight are not a burden for the drive and chassis. The panoramic vision mentioned, which is mirrored from left to right into the lower edge of the windshield, is a revolution. For driving information in the center of attention, there is also a head-up display. The steering wheel is somehow angry, at least quite a bit. But the radios thickness, which, as before was at least better, can be adjusted with a roller again. 520 to 1575 liters fit into the trunk, and the trailer coupling pulls up to 2000 kilograms of load. After our rehearsal round along the country road, the on -board computer reported 16.6 kWh of average consumption. Manufacturer BMW starts at the turn of the year with the IX3 XDRIVE 50. The battery has a capacity of 108 kWh, that’s a lot. According to the WLTP standard, this should be a range of 805 kilometers, that’s a word. Even in winter or with a tempos beyond the 120 km/h, both things that are causing the electric cars should therefore be 500 kilometers away without reloading. Within ten minutes, up to 372 kilometers should be replenished, theoretically and from never -time ideal conditions, of course. Whether you can load 11 or 22 kW on the Wallbox is one of these questions, because there are also two types of wall boxes. Bidirectional charging works on request whether and when BMW is taking up a photovoltaic system in the program, the rumor mill asks. The price list initially starts by 68,900 euros, the IX3 seems to be slightly lower than the new electrical GLC from Mercedes-Benz, which starts at the same time. There will be five variants from the Mercedes, BMW also spreads its offer. The later basic version can be expected around 60,000 euros. However, there is still no technical data for this. After our subtly completed trial round along the country road, the on -board computer reported average consumption of 16.6 kWh. As always, the loading loss is to be added. The IX3 is built in Debrecen in Hungary in a specially freshly built work.
