German FAZ: Tachograph 010351

One for Ferdinand AlexanderOn the occasion of the 90th birthday of Porsche designer Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, who died in 2012, the sports car manufacturer is honoring him with a strictly limited special model. The “911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche” is reminiscent of the 911 that F. A. Porsche drove in the 1980s with numerous details. The basis for the special model is the 911 GT3 with Touring package. Accordingly, a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter boxer engine with 375 kW/510 hp provides propulsion. The interior features club leather in the color truffle brown, special fabric inserts based on F. A. Porsche’s favorite jacket, and several gold-plated badges. One of the 90 examples has already been reserved for Mark Porsche, Ferdinand Alexander’s son. If you have the chance to get one of the 89 remaining copies, you should have enough change. In Germany, the Ferdinand 911 will cost 351,211 euros. This includes a chronograph, weekender and participation in a special customer event for further configuration of the vehicle in Zell am See.
