Envy is considered one of the seven deadly sins. Sometimes, however, employees in this country are particularly susceptible to this. This is when German car companies pay out per capita bonuses to large parts of their workforce. This was also the case last year. Volkswagen paid 4,735 euros, Daimler 7,300 euros, BMW up to 9,000 euros – depending on income and a success factor. The key to such bonuses is usually the company collective agreement: those who are included benefit from the group profit sharing. Sounds heavenly. And who doesn’t feel jealous when faced with such numbers? Especially since it is reasonable to assume that the top dogs in other industries also distribute financial benefits more lavishly than small and medium-sized companies that cannot afford it.
