The Chinese manufacturer Geely, which includes brands such as Volvo, Zeekr, Polestar and Lynk, is the newcomer of the year in the world rankings for electric cars. The Chinese have moved from eighth place to third place in the first nine months, just ahead of their competitors Wuling. The two German manufacturers Volkswagen and BMW follow in second place, while Mercedes does not appear in the top ten.
